The Finished Product

Once we get to this stage, the tight pencil lines are inked, showing details and shading (for 3-D look).

This may not look like an actual float to you, but the builders have been constructing these for decades, and are merely using

these drawings as representation to the organizations for approval, and to their talented staff sculptors and painters for reference.
